OTK-POE-COX — IP & PoE over Coax Extender Kit
Key Features
- Sends 10/100 Mbps Ethernet data (video, audio, control) and PoE power over existing coax or a single twisted pair
- Up to 3,280 ft (1,000 m) over RG59 coax
- 100 Mbps with a 21 W PoE load to 330 ft; 100 Mbps with 11 W to 1,000 ft; 10 Mbps with 4 W to 3,280 ft, enough for a single 4K IP camera
- Powered from the receiver end by an IEEE 802.3af/at PoE switch, PoE NVR or injector, with no power needed at the camera
- For best results, power the receiver from a 30 W PoE+ port
- Upgrades an analog CCTV system to IP without replacing the coax
- Transmitter outputs PoE Mode A (pins 1, 2, 3, 6)
- Lightning protection: 4 kV common mode, 2 kV differential mode

2-Wire Installation
The kit runs over either kind of existing 2-conductor cable:
- Coax (RG59 / RG6): connect each unit's BNC port to the cable. RG6 gives better range than RG59.
- Twisted pair: fit the included BNC-to-twisted-pair adapter to each unit and land one pair on its terminals.
The cable must run point to point between the receiver and the transmitter, with no BNC splitter, T-connector or repeater in between.
Connection: PoE switch or NVR → Cat5e/6 → receiver (Rx) → coax or twisted pair → transmitter (Tx) → Cat5e/6 → PoE IP camera.
