The short version
- Orders & pricing. Prices and availability may change until your order is confirmed. Pricing, typographical, or listing errors may be corrected at any time; the sole remedy for an affected order is cancellation and refund.
- Taxes. NY sales tax applies unless a valid resale (ST-120) or out-of-state exemption certificate is on file before the sale.
- Returns & exchanges. Governed by our Returns & Exchanges Policy.
- Warranty. All hardware is warranted by its manufacturer only (Uniview/Uniarch, Hikvision-OEM, Akuvox, etc.). SSD assists with the manufacturer RMA process but provides no separate warranty.
- Your responsibility. You are solely responsible for lawful installation and use of the equipment — camera placement, audio recording, notices, and compliance with surveillance and privacy laws in your jurisdiction. Advice, recommendations, and technical support are a free courtesy provided without warranty or liability for errors or omissions.
- No guarantee of prevention. Security equipment is a deterrent and monitoring tool only. It cannot guarantee prevention or detection of theft, loss, damage, or injury, and SSD is not an insurer — carry appropriate insurance.
- Liability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, SSD is not liable for indirect or consequential damages (including lost recordings or events not captured), and total liability is limited to the price paid for the goods. You agree to defend and hold SSD harmless from third-party claims arising from your installation, use, recording, or resale of the goods.
- Law. New York law governs; venue Kings County, NY.
