Both kits include the identical NVR301-08S3-P8 recorder — 8 channels, 8 plug-&-play PoE ports, Ultra 265 compression, 4K HDMI output, 2TB drive installed (expandable to 8TB), ONVIF S/G/T, and free EZView mobile apps. NDAA compliant. The only real decision is the cameras:

Which one should you pick?
Choose the V3 kit if…
- Cameras face harsh backlight — glass storefronts, doorways, headlights (true 120 dB WDR)
- You want the widest coverage per camera (101.5°)
- Discreet infrared-only night monitoring is preferred
Choose the Dual-Light kit if…
- You want color evidence at night — clothing and vehicle colors, not gray silhouettes
- The warm light doubling as a visible deterrent is a plus
- You need corridor mode for hallways, or black housings to match the building
