| Storage & Capacity | |
| Bays | 1x 3.5" drive bay (3.5" HDD support; 11W max drive power budget). No microSD slot listed anywhere on the official spec pages — storage is HDD-only. |
| Max Storage | Ubiquiti does not publish an explicit max HDD capacity for the UNVR-Instant on techspecs.ui.com or the store page. Its Help Center storage-compatibility article recommends the UniFi 8TB HDD for consoles with a 3.5" bay (industrial-grade, continuous-write surveillance drives) and warns against SMR drives, so 8TB is the largest officially recommended drive. |
| Camera Capacity | Official managed-camera counts: 15 HD, 8 2K (4MP), or 6 4K cameras. HDMI Viewport supports up to 6 simultaneous 4K streams. Also manages up to 50 UniFi Access hubs. |
| Retention Estimate | No official retention-days figure is published for this model on the pages reviewed (techspecs, store, marketing page). Retention depends on installed HDD size; Ubiquiti's help center covers retention configuration but gives no per-model day estimates. |
